Hal Roark...

Hal Roark began working in real estate investing in 1997.  He lives in New Orleans, Louisiana where he is still a full time real estate investor.  On his first deal he made over $138,000 dollars.  He says of that experience, “I didn’t even know what I was doing.”  Today, Mr. Roark specializes in renovating properties in need of serious structural repair, and he works in what he calls, “unique land lording niches.”  These include Section 8 investments, rehab lease options, renters with pets, international student renters and other creative investments.  He describes his method as “huge profits with small hassles.”  Hal Roark has served on the board of the New Orleans Real Estate Investors Association for four years.  This association is part of one of the oldest and largest REIA organizations in the United States.

Mr. Roark does guest speaking before the Real Estate Investors Association groups throughout the country.  He does deals everyday and teaches others how to reproduce the same success via is website www.landlordingsecrets.com.   Hal Roark gives some sound advise about getting into Section 8 Landlording.  You will first need to know where to locate your local PHA (Public Housing Authority) and how to contact them.  You will then need to contact them for various documents including the “getting started” landlording package, the rent rates your local PHA will pay for an apartment, the paperwork needed to get your property on their list, etc.  The steps you take to find your local PHA is easy through the Internet.  You got to www.hud.gov/directory/ascdir3.cfm, click on your state and then the nearest office to you. From there you can find the necessary documents and some free advise.  Hal Roark offers clear-cut advise and shares his personal success experience with you.
