Matthew Lesko...

Chances are, you have either been spammed by Matthew Lesko or you have been attacked by banner ads with his products. Matthew is the man behind the huge “government money” campaign that has been going for as long as I can remember. If you haven’t seen him online then you may have caught a glimpse of him on information commercials or some would call it “paid programming”.

Mr. Matthew Lesko began his career as a financial advisor and was quite popular for his fool proof methods of managing money. After doing this for a while his business evolved into a little different area only now it was about managing the government’s money. He started helping everyday people get government grants and loans for their needs. Now he has a book out to “inform” you of the money you could not know is rightfully yours. Matthew claims that the government has money set aside for everyone to take, you just have to know how and where to get it.

Matthew Lesko has several books out but most of them are the exact same information. In his books he goes over the resources that you will need in applying for a government grant. There is also a little information regarding these grants and loans but most complain that it is not enough. All of the resources have been collected from the internet by him, which means you could get all of it by yourself. However, it would take quite a bit of time and you would need to know the credible sources to look into.

Now based on reviews, I would say it is a tie. Some say that these books are useful while others are furious that they wasted $40-$60.

Based on Reviews These Are the Pros:

Resources have been gathered for you so you save time.

The book gives you an outline of what must be done.

Based on Reviews These Are the Cons:

Not enough information.

Does not explain who qualifies for what grants.

The information is outdated and some grants do not even exist now.

You do not get enough money for your troubles.

As you can see, there are twice as many Cons as Pros. I think that I have seen enough to know that this book is not for everyone. If you know what you are doing and know anything about grant writing and proposals then you would more than likely benefit from these books. Matthew Lesko targets average people with these ads which are a little deceiving. As a professional, I would have to say that if you know nothing about government grant and loan applications (proposals), then your chances of being granted any significant amount of money are slim. If you are looking for information on grant proposals you should contact a professional writer that specializes in that industry. Therefore, you have no need for a book of references so, problem solved.
