Ken McCarthy
formed E-Media, which is now known as Amacord, Inc., before
the world even recognized internet businesses. A marketing
genius, Ken McCarthy took on the internet before there was
even a guide to internet marketing. In a sense, you could
say that he is man that laid down the foundation and wrote
the rules. He made sure the he was involved in almost every
part of the planning that went into turning the internet
into the massive market we know today.
Just about
anything that we use to market businesses on the internet,
Ken McCarthy has played a part in its development. From
websites to marketing strategies, he was dedicated to
helping everyway possible. Even before the internet he was
a marketing consultant in the offline direct marketing
world. Launching in 1989, Marketing Solutions provided
consulting service to small and medium scale companies all
over the United States.
Owning and
operating Marketing Solutions offline helped prepare him for
the role he played in the early days of internet marketing.
Ken McCarthy had developed such a skill for marketing and
knew that if these skills could be practiced on the
internet, it would change marketing forever. Once he sat
down to start working out a plan, he quickly realized that
the internet offered a lot more benefits than traditional
offline marketing.
Since
venturing onto the internet, Ken McCarthy has been able to
expand his business significantly. To increase sales and
the internet marketing popularity he wrote the first book
ever released in America on internet marketing called “The
Internet Business Manual”. He also worked as a consultant
for NEC’s Biglobe (the largest internet company in Japan)
from 1996 to 2001.
Ken holds seminars at least twice a year that are always
completely packed with people who can’t wait to hear his
lecture. He is a well respected man in the marketing
industry being considered a charming, soft spoken
gentleman. It is no doubt that he has helped change
marketing forever by opening up this whole new world, the
internet.
