Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing was founded in 2001 by Paul Orberson, a man considered to be the most successful network marketer, who made the most money in the least amount of time of anyone in the history of the industry. His efforts were instrumental in turning a small start up company into one of the fastest growing telecommunications companies during the 1990s and a multi-billion dollar, publicly traded NYSE company. Before he retired, Orberson was making well over 1.5 million dollars per month.

Though Orberson’s outrageous success enabled him to retire even before he was forty years old he felt that he wasn’t finished working yet. With his extensive marketing background, Orberson began compiling a detailed review of a number of companies as well as various marketing programs. During this time, deficiencies and inherent weaknesses in these programs and compensation plans continued to register with Orberson. By knowing the failings of these systems, Orberson started developing a program that combined all of the “good points” or success points of these programs into one system. One of the primary points, he discovered was that a successful program was one that provided the best compensation for its representatives or affiliates and that this program would be easy to use by the affiliate. Thus, Orberson saw that if one developed a compensation plan that would reward the representative’s efforts, with a sound and reasonable compensation arrangement. Such ideas became the framework upon which Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing was established.

All profits from FHTM are cycled back into the compensation plan for the representative and results in a very high pay out, per member. This is a true innovation in network marketing industry and is the first of its kind which results in the highest pay out to the representative of any network marketing company currently in operation. There have been twenty-seven pay raises in the compensation plan since it was created.

Despite his knowledge of network marketing, Orberson had enough insight to see the need to delegate some of the operation of is company to a capable staff to allow the business to excel and provide a safety net to provide stability to the various representatives. Lately, Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing has attempted to re-organize its approach to network marketing program by developing direct marketing strategies, rather than using the affiliates to build its own customer base.
