A company established and based in Tuscan, California by the name of Body Wise International have been offering their health supplements since starting up in 1989. A man by the name of Tom Tierny has been the chairman and also serves as the president of a company by the name of VitaTech. VitaTech International, Inc. is also a nutritional supplement provider that has proven to be even more successful than Body Wise International.

Body Wise International has been offering their business opportunity to North America, and now declares that they have expanded into Canada. Little information on this is available now but will surely be made accessible once they have created a successful market there. Their claims of having “the perfect business” have yet to be proven. They have never released any numbers on how many distributors they actually have working for them. This company has a long track record for being reluctant to provide any substantial evidence that their business opportunities offer any real benefits.

Most are skeptical of Body Wise International dietary products that are said to help you lose weight. They have been questioned numerous times on why they will not conduct studies that would prove the effectiveness of the supplements and cleverly skirted the issue every time. Based on the reviews from their customers they work as stated but all of these are used in their marketing campaigns so it is hard to believe. Let’s be honest, if 25 people respond to them about their product and 15 say it does not work, they are going to stick with the 10 agreeing and run with it. That is just the way all businesses in this area of expertise function.

Along with several other MLM companies that focus on dietary supplements and weight loss formulas Body Wise International have had their minor issues with the FTC. First in 1995 and just recently in 2005 they were fined for deceptive advertising statements. To make matters worse, in the 2005 issue a doctor that endorsed them was also fined for providing inaccurate reviews that there products were able to help with HIV, aids, and cardiovascular problems.

Overall, Body Wise International has had its expected shares of ups and downs. If you want enough information to make a decision on joining them or not you have to submit your contact information. What this tells me is that they are going to put you in contact with a smooth talker and that is not an encouraging factor.
